The dolls | a PEEK INSIDE

Below (click image) is a three dimensional animation of what could be seen if the leather of the dolls were transparent: a neonatal cranium, a carved mandible of animal bone or similar material, and a crude wireframe supporting the body structures. Not shown is the horsehair or similar material used to fill out the torsos and extremities, or the paper packing which gives the eyes their shape. Note the previously described broken skull on the right hand doll. ➡
